Your Story Can Change A Life

Change lives with your story — even if they never know your name

We’re inviting real stories — heartfelt, honest, and human. Whether it’s through words or video, we’re looking for pieces that inspire, educate, or simply raise awareness about the lived experience of mental health, wellbeing, or recovery. Your voice matters. Your journey, no matter how messy or quiet or extraordinary, could be the one that helps someone feel less alone. It’s not about being perfect — it’s about being real. If you’ve lived it, learned from it, or are still finding your way through it, we’d love to hear from you. Your story could make all the difference.

Whether it’s a personal journey, expert advice, or a creative way to start conversations about mental health and wellbeing, your voice can make a real impact.

You can contribute in person or anonymously in  the following ways:

  • Written articles – Share your story, insights, or tips in a blog-style post (ideally around 1,500 words).

  • Short videos – Record a video message or story (under 5 minutes is ideal), whether filmed on your phone or professionally edited.

  • Interviews – If you’d prefer to be interviewed, we can arrange a relaxed Q&A by email or video call.

  • Creative submissions – Poems, artwork, or any expressive piece related to mental health and physical wellbeing are also welcome.

Our guidelines

We warmly welcome and encourage the sharing of stories from people around the world from every race, religion and country. Our platform exists simply for that purpose—to give space to your voice, without asking for anything in return. However, there are a few important guidelines in place to protect the wellbeing of our community.

Although we aim to publish nearly every story we receive, there are rare instances when we are unable to do so. This typically happens when a submission:

  • Poses a potential risk of harm to the storyteller;

  • Promotes violence, hatred, or self-harm;

  • Requests financial contributions, including donations, purchases, or other forms of monetary support.

  • While we’re here to share understanding, inspiration, and lived experiences, it’s important to say that we’re not practising counsellors or crisis professionals. If you’re in crisis or feeling overwhelmed, please reach out to a qualified therapist or mental health support service first—your safety and wellbeing come first.  If now isn’t the right time, that’s okay too. This is a space you can come back to when you’re a little further along in your journey—we’ll be here when you’re ready.

Additionally, to protect the privacy and safety of contributors, we take the following steps:

  • If you are under 18, we will remove your surname and location before publication.

  • If you choose to share your story anonymously at any age, we may edit out names, places, or other details that could reveal your identity.

  • We do not publish personal contact details, press releases, or promotional content of any kind.

We welcome and encourage community responses, but all replies are carefully monitored to ensure this remains a safe and supportive space. Comments that include spam, trolling, or any form of negativity will not be published.

Our goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and empowering space where your story can be shared—and heard—on your own terms.
